Career Counselling Programme at Sharadha PU College, Mangalore As part of its continued student outreach and career guidance initiatives, the Mangalore Branch of SIRC of ICAI successfully conducted a Career Counselling Programme at Sharadha PU College, Mangalore, on 10th January 2026. The session was conducted by CA. Ramya Rao and CA. Vinayak Pai K, who provided valuable insights into the Chartered Accountancy course, career opportunities in the profession, and the skills required to succeed in the evolving professional landscape. The counsellors engaged actively with students, addressing their queries and motivating them to explore the CA profession with clarity and confidence. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who found the session informative, interactive, and inspiring. The guidance offered helped students gain a clearer understanding of career pathways in accountancy and finance. The Branch places on record its special appreciation to CA. Sudhir Shenoy for his efforts in coordinating and ensuring the smooth conduct of the programme. With this programme, the Mangalore Branch has successfully completed 12 Career Counselling Programmes across various colleges over the past one year, reaffirming its commitment towards nurturing future professionals and spreading awareness about the Chartered Accountancy profession. Ind AS Study Circle Series – Session 1 Successfully Commenced The Mangalore Branch of SIRC of ICAI successfully commenced the Ind AS Study Circle Series – Session 1 on 8th January 2026 at ICAI Bhawan, Kodialbail, Mangalore, marking a strong and impactful beginning to the series. The inaugural session was delivered by CA. Faiz Mohammad, who conducted an insightful and well-structured presentation covering key topics including Applicability of Ind AS, Ind AS 2 – Inventories, and Ind AS 7 – Statement of Cash Flows. The session focused on conceptual clarity as well as practical considerations, enabling participants to better understand the implementation aspects of Ind AS in real-life scenarios. The programme witnessed active participation from members, with engaging discussions and queries reflecting the keen interest of attendees in strengthening their Ind AS knowledge. The interactive nature of the session and the speaker’s practical approach were highly appreciated by the participants. The Ind AS Study Circle Series aims to provide continuous learning and deeper technical understanding of Ind AS through a structured and collaborative platform.
